Digital Health Associate

Kyla is a Digital Health Associate at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator (IDHA). She supports the digital health team in a variety of capacities, ranging from project development to strategy, in order to accelerate and extend the reach of the hospital’s healthcare innovations.

Prior to joining IDHA Kyla served as a Healthcare Analytics Intern at the Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation. During her time there she investigated opioid prescribing practices in the state of Michigan. She collaborated with BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan to flag patient populations that receive several opioid prescriptions from separate prescribers in a short period of time. Ultimately, Kyla co-authored an issue brief titled “Uncoordinated Prescription Opioid Use in Michigan”.

Kyla also has experience in health policy research. In the summer of 2016 Kyla conducted independent research at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her project evaluated determinants of generated savings in accountable care organizations across the U.S.

Kyla graduated from Brandeis University, where she earned her B.A. in Business and Health: Science, Society and Policy (HSSP).
