HLTH is an annual conference for collaboration across senior leaders in healthcare from payers, employers, pharma, startups and investors with the goal of “Creating Health’s Future”.

Project Overview

The annual HLTH conference brings together leaders from across the healthcare industry to share and discuss emerging healthcare trends and novel innovations. In 2019, the event attracted an audience of over 7,000 leaders to solve healthcare’s most pressing problems and realize promising opportunities. The conference features multiple days of networking, educational sessions, and speakers with some of the leading voices in healthcare.

IDHA partnered with HLTH in 2019 to bring voice technology to the forefront of healthcare innovation discussions. This work involved curating topics, speakers and startups to feature in a voice technology pavilion and speaking track dedicated to the advancement of voice technology in healthcare.

Healthcare Context

Voice technology developed by both large tech companies (e.g. Amazon Alexa) and innovative startups presents significant potential across clinical, operational and financial use cases in healthcare. Boston Children’s Hospital has been a leader in driving adoption of voice technology in healthcare by creating the first healthcare skill for Amazon Alexa with KidsMD, a consumer facing tool for parents to receive information on common health questions.
