Program Coordinator at Healthmap
Kara is a program coordinator at HealthMap, Boston Children’s Hospital’s Computational Epidemiology Group. She manages a grand-funded project using Twitter data to conduct a large-scale analysis evaluating patients as health care consumers and how they define and choose the care they receive.
Kara joined HealthMap in May 2015 while finishing her MPH, and worked on the Neglected Tropical Disease feed, Yelp Food-borne Surveillance and Twitter Influenza-like Illness Surveillance projects, before joining the team full time.
Kara earned her MPH in epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health and her BA in Psychology from Boston University.
