Doctoral Research Fellow and Bioinformatician
Yulin is a Bioinformatician in the computational epidemiology lab, research fellow at HealthMap and a Doctoral Student at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Yulin is training to become a social epidemiologist with emphasis on quantitative and analytic methods. Her research interests focus on leveraging big data to uncover social patterns of disease and to inform the development of interventions to improve the health and well-being of the most marginalized subgroups of the population.
Yulin received her BS in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of British Columbia and her Master of Public Health from Dartmouth College. Yulin is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Doctoral Scholar, a prestigious scholarship awarded to the top 10% of Canadian doctoral students. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, Yulin was a professional actor and has appeared in numerous commercials, movies and television series.
