Ebola Outbreaks is an interactive timeline of global Ebola outbreaks.
Project Overview
Ebola Outbreaks is a HealthMap interactive map, projections and timeline that was started during the 2014 Western Africa Ebola Outbreak. The timeline is updated with news reports and the latest case counts of more recent Ebola outbreaks, including the 2022 outbreaks in Uganda and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Ebola Outbreaks was developed and is maintained by the HealthMap team at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Healthcare Context
The 2022 Ebola outbreaks rapidly spread with governments and public health organizations struggling to properly track the spread of disease to prepare health systems. Ebola Outbreaks’ projections and timeline allows users to view where the outbreaks currently are, see milestones related to the outbreaks, and investigate where it may hit next.
